South Confederate is next in line for rehabilitation to restore the appearance of 1863.

This area has been aggressively cut and during the winter the standing trees have no leaves which makes the sparseness more shocking to see.

Driving along the avenue you can see right through the woodlots because of the cuttings and due to the winter season. Early summer will see the trees full with leaves which may obscure some of the cuttings still on the ground.
