Stormy Day

The joy of waiting out a thunderstorm is the payoff at the end of it if all the elements are present. That was the case on this particular day not long ago when a rainbow occurred over Little Round Top. These photos were very difficult to capture because of the enormity of the area, I literally lay on the ground up on Ayers Avenue to get this whole shot. The 44th New York monument can be seen at the lower right hand corner of the photo.

A rainbow is a photo dream shot if you can get the photo you want..I have to say, I couldn't take enough photos of this one. As the sun moved around to the west, the monuments were "spotlighted" under the rainbow.
